The Orchard, Grantchester -- a corner of England where time stands still as the outside world rushes by.
Indeed, my weekend in Cambridge was so short, yet i feel like i've been gone for long. I wish i could be gone for longer though! if time and circumstances permitted. I come back now here to Nottingham, feeling a bit melancholy because suddenly all that fun and laughter and joy of being with new found friends is gone! Sigh...
It's really amazing how fellow countryman who barely knew each other at home can so quickly warm up to each other once they're in another foreign land. To live at your friend's, how was that even possible at home? With so many barriers, like "so wierd!" and not to mention your Parents. Over here, it's the only natural thing to do. It's a rare opportunity to not only get to know each other, but to see their way of life.
And after seeing the oh!-so-scenic parts of England once more (i went to Cambridge last week too), my coach ride back to Nottingham yesterday was long, but no longer dreary. Watching miles of green pastures, sometimes brown, sometimes with a few cows and sheeps grazing, unfold before my eyes, I felt really happy. I haven't been so happy for long! :)
Ah but this is bad... I feel so distracted now, and exams are looming just ahead.. Rah.
