Awww I just called back and spoke to both my grandmothers and grandfather :) And my uncle too. The same uncle who brought my sisters and I to the Paya Lebar Swimming Complex every Saturday when we were young, patiently sitting on the bench whilst we splashed around in the pool.. he's our guardian angel :) Looking back on all those sweet memories that make up my childhood, I'm suddenly very moved by all these blessings that I have had! All these little actions that family, relatives and friends have bestowed upon me, these memories are triggered by this festive season, and it's reminded me again of how much I am loved and how much i should treasure this life! :)
A few days ago i was feeling quite down.. for various reasons.. and started missing home. In fact, this is one of the 1st times that I was feeling homesick ever since last Sept. At this moment, I wish I am home to be with family, but I guess distance makes the heart grow fonder.
Im also very very glad that my Mandarin in still in tact! Havent used it for quite long, but thankfully I still could talk quite normally to them!
A random thought: After i graduate.. must make the effort to travel SouthEast Asia. to me, it's like a very exotic place to go (other than Spore). I think i'm increasingly seeing things from a British point of view.. guess it's only natural that "when in Britain, do as the British do/think".
Very tired now. Shall go sleep soon.
