Little Miss Sunshine

Also known as Little Miss Tiny, Miss Sunshine likes very much to make people around her happy and smiley. She used to frown a lot though.. perhaps still so, but as the years go by, smiles have earned their priority over frowns. :) She currently resides in Nottingham, in a little town called Beeston. But home is forever where her family and closest friends are, in the little island called Singapore!

Thanks Zuze, and Victor, for the precious friendships, the sharing about my concerns etc. It feels so nice to be open and being able to talk freely about almost anything :)

Something about You

Dont what you do to me but
Everytime I'm with you its a natural high
its like re-discovering Eden
with chocolate-coated rainbows and cotton candy skies
And everytime you look my way
I wish i had the guts to say

There's something in your eyes
Something in your smile
Something in the way you move me
You make me want to sing
Make me want to dance
Make me want to cry
I'm falling in love with you.

I think i'll hire Cupid
He'll make you see I'm more than your friend
You'll be tossing and turning
Counting the hours til you see me again
And when we meet you'll Kiss my hand and say the words I've longed to hear

There's something in your eyes
Something in your smile
Something in the way you move me
You make me want to sing
Make me want to dance
I'm falling in love with you
You make me want to sing
Make me want to dance
Make me want to cry
I'm falling in love with you.

- Corrinne May

Beautiful lyrics, but don't read too much into it! :)

Awww I just called back and spoke to both my grandmothers and grandfather :) And my uncle too. The same uncle who brought my sisters and I to the Paya Lebar Swimming Complex every Saturday when we were young, patiently sitting on the bench whilst we splashed around in the pool.. he's our guardian angel :) Looking back on all those sweet memories that make up my childhood, I'm suddenly very moved by all these blessings that I have had! All these little actions that family, relatives and friends have bestowed upon me, these memories are triggered by this festive season, and it's reminded me again of how much I am loved and how much i should treasure this life! :)

A few days ago i was feeling quite down.. for various reasons.. and started missing home. In fact, this is one of the 1st times that I was feeling homesick ever since last Sept. At this moment, I wish I am home to be with family, but I guess distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Im also very very glad that my Mandarin in still in tact! Havent used it for quite long, but thankfully I still could talk quite normally to them!

A random thought: After i graduate.. must make the effort to travel SouthEast Asia. to me, it's like a very exotic place to go (other than Spore). I think i'm increasingly seeing things from a British point of view.. guess it's only natural that "when in Britain, do as the British do/think".

Very tired now. Shall go sleep soon.

I HATE myself for being so indecisive! Why can't I be more firm and less easily swayed by a multitude of things?!

Gotta slap myself to wake up. Pik Piak!!!!

With love,
the Soul.

Barcelona, 25-28 January 2007

First dinner at a spanish restuarant. The rice dish is called "Paella". Mine was black rice! Recommended by a friend, but it turned out to be black squid ink! I didn't enjoy this 1st meal at all.... Pam will know =p

Pam's normal-looking prawn against my stomach-churning half eaten black Paella!

Antonio Gaudi's Sagradia Familia (The Holy Family) Cathedral. Magnificant, beyond words. Got to see it for yourselves one day! Built in 1882, currently still not done. Estimated completion in 20-40 years' time! Intricate detail, tells the story of Jesus Christ's birth (the Nativity Facade), his death and resurrection (Passion Facade), and the Glory Facade (i don't really know what this is..) which is still under construction.

Traditional Spanish Cafe which served such good desserts! After the black rice incident.. i clensed my blackened digestive system with scrumptious profiterole..hahah.
Park Guell! Another of Gaudi's famous works. This park is simply amazing. His designs are characterized by natural, curvy lines which are in my fren's words, very organic. It's a far cry from modern buildings which are often defined by straight lines, right angles and symmetry.

Those who've watched 流星花园 will definitely have recognised this park! I haven't watched it.. but now sure feel like!

Pam, Me and Adam at the open ground at the same park, see above.

Christopher Columbus's Monument, at Port Vell, southern tip of La Rambla

Adam and I at Port Vell

Fresh Vegetables at the Merkat! Some of them we don't have back home..

Argh. I know, it's very disgusting. Skinned rabbits. Had to show u guys this!!

The Magic/Musical Fountain at La Espanya.. magnificent!
